Rick's passion for the outdoors started in his early years, when he hunted and fished with his father. Unlike some photographers who visit game farms for opportunities, Rick prefers working with his subjects in their natural environment, portraying the animals doing what they do naturally - surviving. Whether he's photographing in the quiet refuge on his own property in Central Nebraska or traveling to Antarctica in search of the wild and exotic, Rick's sense of respect for animals shines through his art. Some of Rick's photo credits include: Grand Prize winner in Wyoming Wildlife Magizine, Highly Honored Winner in Natures Best Magazine's International Awards Competition, Best Of Show at Grand Island's Art in the Park and Best Of Show at Stuhr Museum's Wings Over The Platte Competition, to name a few. Rick has also been published in several books and has many images in advetising campaigns. |
